With warm weather, comes cold beer. Those that couldn’t make the Winter Bierfest missed an amazing collection of winter dark beers. However, the Summer 2008 Bierfest in July should not be missed. Find out the best new brews for the summer. Rank your favorites. Choose which beers Chopperz carries. We already have 3 new breweries lined up, as well some of our old favorites. Stay tuned for additional information. If you have any friends and you want to share the inside scoop, make sure they sign up for the mailing list to get the full details. As always this event is complimentary for Chopperz VIPs. Cover is $7 – $10 for other guests. Final price will be determined after we find out how many breweries we will be bringing in.

Hang out and enjoy the fights with other fans of MMA as former UFC Lightweight Champion, Jens “Lil Evil” Pulver returns to 145 pounds, a weight at which he has never been beaten, as he looks to defend his legacy against the #1-ranked featherweight in the world – WEC Champion “The California Kid,” Urijah Faber. A win for Pulver secures his spot in MMA history. A win for Faber takes him one step closer to becoming the greatest featherweight fighter ever. Plus, two Mexican warriors face off as Miguel Angel Torres defends his bantamweight title against Manny Tapia.
Chopperz- the NON Salon, already rated the #1 ranked Portland men’s barbershop for haircuts and shaves, now wants to rule the playground. We are joining Recess Times Summer Kickball League and are recruiting playground all-stars for our team. Expert kickball skills not necessary, ability to make the games, have fun, socialize with friends, and enjoy good beer are required.
Regular season games will be after work either 6:30PM or 7:30PM Wednesdays from June 11th to Aug 13th at various fields in Portland. There will be a Post Season tournament and an end of the season party Sat Aug 16th.
Cost will be $55 (increases by $10 if you register after June 1st), which includes a brand spankin new team shirt. We are guaranteed at least 10 regular season games, plus the tournament, so less than $5 bucks per game. The team is Co-Ed, so feel free to sign up your girlfriends, wives, professional soccer players, etc.

WHAT IS RECESSTIME KICKBALL?
We are Oregon’s original independent kickball league. We’ve been kicking balls and toasting frosty beverages since 2003. We have a huge passion for kickball and are eager to watch the game evolve each season. We are proud to host as many teams that want to play kickball and to grow in an inclusive manner just like we did in 5th grade, only this time, no one is the last one picked!
WHO PLAYS KICKBALL?
We’re a thriving group of players in Portland, Oregon who love kickball and want to spread the joy of our childhood passion with anyone who wants to share a field. We are of various ages (all over 21), professions, backgrounds and playing ability. We all share the love of kickball and good beer.
You’ve had a hard week. Relax and enjoy yourself with game night at Chopperz this Friday. We upgraded to 8 19″ HD LCDs and still have the 3 42″ Plasmas ready for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Rock Band for Xbox 360s and EA Playground for the Wii.
Better than an air guitar. Less skill needed than Karaoke. For those not familiar with Rock Band, think karaoke with a drumset, lead and bass guitar, and a mic. You play in a 4 man band. Novices welcome. Release the week’s stress while screaming “Wanted Dead or Alive” on a mic or banging out “Sabotage” on the drums. Bring your wives and girlfriends for even more hysterical Rock n Roll fun.
Call of Duty 4 was voted the Game of the Year. We will be playing Free For All and Team games, so bring your quick trigger finger and get ready to snipe somebody. Few things are more rewarding than a headshot from across the map.
EA Playground is a collection of childhood games for the Wii. Think Dodgeball, Wall Ball, and Tetherball and such. Relive you youth with some Wii games against people your own age.
Join us for Rock Band and Playground, no equipment needed. But if you want to play Call of Duty, you have to bring your 360 and game.
