About the Authors
Marco Sison-
I opened up Chopperz- the NON Salon in the suburbs of Portland two years ago (late 2005). I had the objective of giving men a guilt-free place they could kickback in without worrying about what the wifey or girlfriend thinks. I wanted to recreate the men’s hangout like barbershops back in the 50’s and 60’s (or in every African American community). I wanted a place that did men’s haircuts exceptional well, but also focused on the experience the men had while visiting. Chopperz is the reinvention of the barbershop from cheap and transactional to a relaxing and entertaining experience.
Other Random Facts:
I’m a transplant to Portland, Oregon, but I don’t really have a place I call home. I guess if forced, I would say either the San Francisco Bay Area (high school) or Indiana (college and pre college wandering years) are home.
I spent 5+ years at Indiana University to get 4 degrees (Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Operations Management, International Business, Minor in Speech).
Bali, Prague, and San Francisco make up my three favorite cities.
